Conference: 4th Period
Materials: Students will need a three ring binder and dividers in which this syllabus and class rules are to be kept. Students will also keep their graded work in this binder. Dividers will be labeled: Notes, Graded Papers/designs, Handouts, and Grading Rubrics. A jump drive would be beneficial for you to have IF you want to work on some assignments at home...this will only occur IF you get BEHIND! Bring your own Headphones/ear buds. They will be used on Fridays.
Class Procedures: Students will come in quietly and pick up necessary materials. Check the front board for any other materials needed for the daily assignment. Each student will log in on their assigned computer and post remarks in their journals. After roll check, announcements are made and the instructor will present the mini-lesson followed by a class assignment. Some assignments will be in groups or partners but for the most part, each student is responsible for their own work. A few minutes before the bell, you will be instructed to save your work and return materials, including: print outs, textbooks, and student disks. This is also a time to clean up around your workstation. Please remain seated until the bell rings.
Absences and Tardies: It is vital that you are in this class. If you need to be absent, you are responsible for getting the assignments that you missed. As you come in, hand your absence slip to the instructor to sign. Once class has started, the instructor will assist you with any special instructions or information. If you know you will be out for an extracurricular absence, let me know in advance so you can get the assignment ahead of time.
Tardies are a disruption to the entire class! Please avoid being tardy! If you are tardy, you may have missed some important information. You will have to wait until I am completely finished with all instructions to get the information that you might have missed.
Assignments and Project: It is difficult to assign homework for this class; however, if you do have an assignment outside of class, you are expected to complete it. You will have several special projects throughout the year. Be aware that these are major test grades and will often count for several grades each.
Late Work – One day - 30 point deduction (70 highest possible grade
Printing: Proof read all material prior to printing. Remember when you print you have turned in your work. If you print and locate errors and want to print again points will be deducted for the reprint.

Use of these items outside of this classroom is a violation of school policy and items will be confiscated. These items are only allowed inside the classroom on Fridays.
